The camshaft locking pins included in this set are suitable for use on single, double and quadruple camshafts and are supplied as two pairs. For engines with quadruple cams with larger capacity, the pins are placed through the openings in the rear of the cam box and then through the openings in the camshaft positions.
The flywheel locking tool is usually mounted in the differential housing from which the starter motor is removed and is necessary to prevent the flywheel from turning during the release and tightening of the crankshaft.
It is important to follow the manufacturer's exact instructions as one camshaft position changes the camshaft position by approximately 20 °.
